How do I create a list with categories and items (a grocery list)?
This type of list is perfect for making a grocery list. Once you login to EasyListCreator.com, you will be taken to the "My Lists" page.
Click the "Add New List" link on the page and enter your new list name (ie. Grocery) then click the "Add List" button.
You will then be taken to the page containing the new list. Click the blue box which contains your list title. You will see a drop-down submenu.
Click the "+Category" tab. This prompts you to enter the new category name (ie. Produce, Dairy, Meats, etc.). You can add multiple categories by clicking the "+Category" tab and entering the new category name.
To add items under a category, click the category title in the orange box to see the submenu. Click the "+Item" tab to add an item. This prompts you to enter a new item name (ie. if you are under the Produce category, enter a produce item, such as Apples or Lettuce, etc.)

How do I create a list with just items (a shopping list or to-do list)?

How do I share my grocery list (or any list) with my family and/or friend(s)?
Once you login to EasyListCreator.com, you will be taken to the "My Lists" page.
If you already have lists created, then click on the list title in the blue box to go to that list's page.
If you haven't created a grocery list or shopping list or any list yet, click the "Add New List" link on the page and enter your new list name then click the "Add List" button. You will then be taken to the page containing the new list. Click the blue box which contains your list title. You will see a drop-down submenu. Click the "+Category" or "+Item" tab to create either.
Once on the list's page, click the title of the list in the blue box to show the submenu which drops down.
Click the "Share" tab. This prompts you to enter your name.
Next, enter the email address of the person you'd like to share your list with.
Click the "Send Invite" button
Your family member or friend will receive an email stating that you have shared a list with them. If they already have an account with EasyListCreator.com, once they click the link in the email, they can login. If they do not already have an account with EasyListCreator.com, then an account is automatically created for them with a temporary password. They will receive their login in the email. Once logged in, they can go to their list page and see the new list which you just shared with them.
A shared list has an icon next to it to let you know that the list is shared.
Anyone you share a list with has the ability to edit/delete the list. Any changes made on their end will be reflected on your end, likewise, any changes on your end will be reflected on their end. This is perfect for shopping lists, grocery lists, etc. In fact, this was the reason EasyListCreator.com was created as you can read in our blog here.
Why would I want to "hide" an item in my list?
Hiding an item in your grocery list or shopping list, etc. saves valuable time.
Once you are on your list page, clicking any item title in the white box shows you a submenu: "Rename", "Delete", "Hide".
When clicking the "Hide" tab, this will hide the item from your list.
Use this feature when you are at the grocery store or any store and you want to check off grocery items as you put them in your cart.
By using the "Hide" feature, you can then click the "Show all hidden items" link near the top of the list page to show all hidden items.
This is perfect when you are done grocery shopping and you want to start over for the next week's trip to the grocery store. If you had deleted the items, you would need to re-enter every item back into your grocery list.
How do I sort my categories and/or items in my list?
Sorting your lists categories and/or items helps keep your list organized.
Once you are on your list page, you can click and drag a category or item box and place it in any order you would like. If you are using a tablet or smartphone, use your finger to drag the list category or item to the new position within the list.
